6 July 2013, a night I will never forget!
Went for Super Show 5!
Though there were only 8 members performing, it was still an awesome night with all the song and dance. I got the seats in the last row, however, they were not that far behind. I still managed to run up to the stairs to get a close up view of Kyu Hyun and Eun Hyuk towards the end of the concert.
The morning started off early as my parents and I went over to the Indoor Stadium to get in the queue for the merchandise. Although the stall opens at 11am, there were already at least 100 people in the queue at 8am.
I managed to get my share of the official merchandise at around 12nn. [Got myself some L-folders, a baseball cap, the slogan towel, the button set and most importantly, the fan light !! Spent around $200+ just on these stuff, think it's over priced?]
I also managed to snag a deck of photo cards and banners the fan clubs were distributing on site. There were many small fan clubs which also gave out fans and stickers and even tattoos.
At around 4pm, we went to queue to enter the stadium and got in at around 4.30pm.
The whole stadium was quickly filled up with banners and fans as soon as the crowd entered. Sitting at the top of the terrace area, I witness the crazy fans dash into the mosh pits just so they could get the best viewing spots to catch their favourite members. When the concert finally started at around 6.30pm, the stadium was lighted up by the sapphire blue fan lights. It was a magnificent scene!
Though they were lacking 3 members who are still serving their mandatory military service and Dong Hae injured himself, the team still put up a perfect show with their precise dance moves and moving ballads. It's a pity not being able to see Dong Hae during the dance breaks due to his finger injury sustained during a game of soccer, Eun Hyuk lived up to his name of a dancing machines with his awesome moves during the Harlem shake with Shin Dong.
It's a pity that it is only a one-night show due to some organisation problems and the stage layout was changed at the last minute, I still enjoyed the show and will continue to support SJ!
What really surprised the fans was at the ed of the concert, while some had already left the stadium, Eun Hyuk who is the acting-leader in the absence of Ee Teuk came out to address the fans again.
Recently, there had been petitions circulating around to remove Henry and Zhou Mi (Members of the sub-group SJM) from the main performances during the concert (such as Wonder Boy and Dreaming Hero). He pleaded for fans to support them despite them not being in the main SJ group because they are still in the SJ Family. I think that as ELFs, we should support them since they are in SJ. Aren't ELFs suppose to stand by SJ no matter what? Though Han Geng already left, we ELFs should also continue to give him our fullest support. Since that't the case, HenMi also deserve our love.
Though the concert was shorter that the previous one, SJ put up a show that left a wonderful memory in the hearts of the ELFs and ELFs will continue to give our support to them.
