This is me |
It's finally 2014 ! Time really flies and before we know it, a new year had just begun. I know I still haven't posted about my Europe trip ( hehe have been really lazy since the day I came back. I'm still jet-lagging really badly) but I promise that I'll get them up by tomorrow. For now, I would just like to share this awesome video by one of my friends. ( Do subscribe to her channel and like her videos. She's really cool & fashionable, unlike me ) After watching the video, I really have to say, sometimes I wish I was a tad more like her. She was born 1 day earlier than me and she is so much more mature and fashionable than me. This video is really inspirational and got me thinking, what do I really want to achieve this year? I haven't really set new year resolutions in a very long while ( The last time I did that, it was in Sec 1 if I'm not wrong. That was like 4-5 years ago already) but after watching her video, I'm really inspired to set goals for myself and really work towards them. Since 2014 is a new year, I'm going to set off on a new journey. Next week, I'm going to get back my O level results and I need to make the crucial decision of choosing the right path. I feel like it's really important now that I set goals for myself and find a way to constantly remind myself that I have to work towards them. For now, I'll just post up some of my New Year resolutions: 1. To make more friends This year I'm going to carry on my studies in a JC (hopefully....) and I think it's going to be a new challenge for me once more. I still remember what happened in Sec 1 when I first get into a new school. I really hope it doesn't happen again. So this time, I'm going to be more receptive and take things less seriously when it comes to new friends. It's no point getting into fights and making enemies when you can make friends right? Thus, I shall try my best to be more approachable and make more friends (Y) 2. To work on LIM0NCELLO For those of you who don't really know, I'm part of this "band" with 2 of my friends. Our little musical group haven't been able to produce any music since our formation since we've always been so busy with our individual work and life, so I hope that we can really find some time to get our band up and going. Also, I'll take the chance to work on my musical skills. (I'm suppose to be the "Guitarist/Song Writer" of the band, but I haven't been able to write a song out and my guitar skills are seriously not up to standard since I don't go for classes haha) 3. EXERCISE It's been ages since I last exercised and I'm really gaining a lot of weight sitting here behind the screen. I was from badminton but ever since training stopped last March, I haven't really properly exercised. Hopefully, my future school will have a compulsory physical activity thingy like Crescent's FITT run or I'll have to pick up sports as my CCA again ( I don't really like the 2nd option because sports really tires a person out especially the physical training sessions. J1 will be tough to handle and JCs focus a lot on CCAs so I don't want my studies to be affected by my CCA) 4. Just be HAPPY Life is such. I realised that throughout my 4 years in Crescent, I really face a lot of troubles and many of these are just self-generated. So this year, I hope to be more open minded and happy. Take things as they come and don't complain so much Hopefully this year will be an awesome year and don't forget to subscribe to Leona [Click here to link to her channel] and if you want to, you can check out my YouTube channel, please subscribe and like. Thank you Labels: 2014, Crescent, Friends, Life, New Year, New Year Resolutions, Youtube Was just looking through my old posts on this blog and WOW... I started this blog when I first entered Crescent in 2010 (that explains the name) and I didn't really expect anyone to read this. I found it as an avenue to vent my frustration (have to say I didn't really enjoy the first few months in the new school) Can't believe time really flies by so fast. It's already 4 years and I can't believe that all that I'd experience in the first few months really happened. Now I don't regret choosing this school and I'm totally in love with the people here. G1'10/11 was quite tiring with all the politics and stuff but things turned out fine after a while and it was through those bad times that I see who really are my true friends. C2'12/13 is just awesome. I thought they would be all clique-ish and I wouldn't blend in well (and be the loner I am) but after 2 years with them, I kinda found a way to blend in and stay unique. I really have to thank the teachers for insisting on arranging our seats for us, if they didn't, I doubt I would be able to make such good friends (with my crazy table buddies) It's really fun and after 2 years I realised that the people in my class are really different from the first impressions I had of them. I thought many of them were very stuck up and unfriendly, but after 2 years, I realised that they are really nice. I guess the class also go to know me better (they realised that I wasn't as normal as they think I am haha )
The Sakhoochang/LIM0NCELLO family is just AWESOME!!!! Can't believe I made such good friends in a girls' school. I stepped into the school with the mindset that I would just go through 4 years being a loner and minding my own business but I was really dead wrong. It all started with a fall..... but it ended well. (can't believe that my Superwoman stunt on the third day of school helped me make friends for life. Seems like that painful fall and the scars are all worth it)
CrezBadminton'13 is a place that holds many many memories. We all suffered under the rein of our seniors who "tortured" us with all that vigorous training and physical. We've seen the transition of leadership and coaches. Most importantly, we've been through the painful times when all does not go well. That time in sec 2 when we were elated to make it into the finals and later to find out we are disqualified due to a clash in schedule with our internationalisation. And those times when we lament about those tough trainings that our juniors would never understand.Walking down the rotunda with our legs hurting like hell and then running 4 levels down so that we won't be late for training (and get more punishment). Not forgetting the times when we didn't even have a place to train and would have to leave school to go to Henderson CC for training. Oh those were the days... It's been a really great experience with the team. (To think that I once wanted to quit and I ended up representing the school and finally graduating as a vice-captain. It was a smart choice of mine not to leave)
Crescent really changed me as a person and left a mark in my life. I can't believe I found such people in my life and I really will never forget the experience I had in this wonderful school. #crescentfamilylove #4C2theworld Sam Labels: 4C2, CCA, Crescent, Life, Miss you, My Life, School, School Life So here's a prom post. It's really very very late (like prom was almost a month ago) To sum it up, prom was AWESOME!!!!!!! Thanks to all the teachers and principals that worked so so hard to make our grad night super awesome. Also, thanks for the MC of the night, Adam from 9.13fm for making our prom so crazily fun. We all had the night of our lives and parties like crazy. It was super fun. Especially the ending part when the dance floor was open, everyone was dancing like we were in a club. (Under-aged ㅠㅠ) Took many photos but didn't really manage to grab a pic with everyone which was quite a pity since everyone was super pretty and the dresses were awesome. I'm soooo missing the moments. It was really fun. Once again, thanks to everyone who made out grad night possible. It was indeed a starry starry night #crescentlove |
